Privacy Policy

What we collect, and why

• Email address — to sign you in and send account emails (confirmation codes, password resets, a welcome note). Never shown to other users, never used for marketing.
• Username, and an optional display name and photo — your profile as other golfers see it.
• Your rounds and scores — the product itself: courses played, hole-by-hole scores, and the handicap history calculated from them.
• Friendships and messages— who you’ve connected with, and messages you send to friends.

Location

Only with your permission, and only to find and rank courses near you. Your location is used at the moment you search and is cached on your own device — it is never stored on our servers and never shared with other users.

Cookies

One cookie, to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies, no trackers, no analytics scripts.

Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication, hosted on AWS in Oregon, USA). The site is served by Vercel, and account emails are delivered by Resend. These providers process data solely to run The Golf Legion.

What we never do

We don’t sell your data, show ads, or share your information with anyone for marketing. No gimmicks, no noise — same as the rest of the product.

Deleting your account

Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, rounds, scores, friendships, and messages are all removed. Courses you added for the community remain available to other golfers, with your identity detached.
